Special Projects

The Library is associated with the following UNSW and Australia-wide Research and Development:

Ad Hoc Seminar Series This series of seminars explores innovations and practices being developed and employed by members of the UNSW community.
Australian Digital Theses (ADT)
The aim of the ADT project is to create a national collaborative distributed database of digitised theses produced at Australian Universities. The ADT database provides access to PhD and Masters by Research theses only.   
Australian Research Repositories Online to the World (ARROW) The ARROW project will identify and test a software solution or solutions to support best-practice institutional digital repositories comprising e-prints, digital theses and electronic publishing.
Australasian Virtual Engineering (AVEL) AVEL Sustainability Knowledge Network portal to resources in sustainable systems and engineering.
Innovative Teaching and Educational Technology (ITET) An intensive program aiming to increase knowledge of best practice in learning and teaching, develop skills in educational technology and including work on a special online project.
Library and Information Science Research UNSW Library staff are involved in researching library and information science areas. Conference papers authored by Library staff.
Richard d'Avigdor Conference Grant Scholarship The Library also organises the Richard d'Avigdor Conference Grant Scholarship. It is open to UNSW Library staff or post-graduate students or junior academic staff, working in a field relevant to the delivery of innovative information services.
WebLaw WebLaw is a cooperative subject gateway to Internet resources for Australian legal researchers, providing links to freely available, full text resources. Staff from UNSW Law Library created and maintain the Children & the Law, Legal Research and Cyberspace Law sections.
