University of New South Wales - Library - Disability services for UNSW Library.

The Library provides the following services to registered users with disabilities:

access to Disabilities Resource Room;
photocopying assistance;
individual Library tours;
assistance with retrieving library items from the shelves;
assistance with using Library resources. Eg. LRD, Sirius, Electronic journals/database;
copying of lecture tapes;
access to Resting Room;
students must register with the Equity & Diversity Unit for these services.

Resource Centre for Users with Disabilities (Authorised Access Only)

The Resource Room is located on Level 2 near the Library Lawn entrance. Students must register with the Equity & Diversity Unit to gain access to the room. Others users with disabilities who require access to the room must contact the Equity & Diversity Unit.

Equipment includes (All equipment in this centre is managed and serviced by the Equity & Diversity Unit :

handheld and table magnifiers;
computers, printer and scanner with large print display monitors and accessories;
a telephone for internal calls;
ergonomic desks and chairs;
a workbench;
access to the resting room;
a wheelchair;
lockers.

Toilet facilities for users with disabilities are located on the following levels of the Library:

Level 2,(male and female);
Level 4,(female);
Level 5,(male);

Persons with mobility disabilities may access the Library via:

Library Lawn entrance:This provides access to Level 2 of the Library via a ramp with hand rails. Please ask at the Loans and Enquiries Desk for information regarding Library services & facilities;
